HSE Committee
Maintaining our health, safety and environmental standards
The Health, Safety and Environment Committee is mainly responsible for continually reviewing the development and maintenance of our health, safety and environmental policies and standards. These policies and standards identify, assess, manage and report health, safety and environmental risks and their impact on our activities.

Roles and responsibilities
The committee's roles and responsibilities include:
- continually reviewing the development and maintenance of our policies and standards that manage health, safety and environmental risks and their impact on our activities
- reviewing our compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation
- monitoring and assessing our management's behaviour towards managing health, safety and environmental risks
- reviewing significant safety incidents and considering the key causes, consequences and management actions to prevent similar incidents happening again
- proposing to the Remuneration Committee appropriate health, safety and environmental performance objectives for Executive Directors and certain senior managers
- reviewing and approving our public disclosures on health, safety and environmental matters
- reviewing the findings from internal and external reports on the efficiency and effectiveness of our health, safety and environmental systems; assessing management strategies and action plans; and, where necessary, recommending these plans to the Board of Directors.
