Corporate responsibility at the centre of our agenda
Extracting a natural resource comes with a responsibility to put something back into the community it came from. Our work creates vital employment in our communities. Through taxation and funding the largest social programme in the country, we are also a major contributor to Kazakhstan's economic development and wellbeing.
We are committed to providing fair and safe workplaces, reducing our environmental impact, and assisting our local communities.
Acting responsibly will also bring benefits, helping us attract and retain the best employees and make us an operator of choice with communities and regulators.
Responsible operations are efficient operations and producing more efficiently and lowering operating costs should enhance shareholder value.
We are proud of our achievements, but recognise that there is much to do. That is why we are investing substantial resources into improving health and safety, raising environmental standards, and supporting our local communities.
